Microchipping

Microchipping offers a permanent and reliable form of identification for our feline companions. A tiny microchip, smaller than a grain of rice, is placed beneath the skin. If a cat is lost or separated from an owner, the chip is scanned and linked to the owner’s contact information.

Microchips are most often placed when a pet is in for a spay or neuter surgery, but we can place one at any appointment if needed.
Importantly, the contact information associated with the microchip can be easily updated throughout the pet’s lifetime, ensuring that it remains accurate and effective in bringing lost pets home.

If your cat is microchipped, but you no longer have the chip number or are unsure if the registration is current, we are happy to scan your pet and help you find the right place to check or update your contact information.
